Jane Rowser Robeson
Great Grandmother to Samuel F. Rowser

Mrs. Jane Rowser was born at Ft. Littleton, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, 12 November 1803 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Seymour, Clinton, Iowa, 1 May 1895, age 91 years, 5 months and 20 days.

She was married to John S. Rowser in 1825. They had six children, two of whom died in infancy. Emigrated to Iowa in March 1844, where her husband died of cholera in July 1851. Most of her time she lived in Davenport, until age crept on and she began dividing her time among her children, one at Clinton, one at Davenport, one at Dell Rapids, South Dakota and one at Red Oak, Cedar County, Iowa.

She united with the Methodist Church in 1836, was an active member as long as she could get around and died with a bright hope of a crown of life in the spirit world.

Services were held at the home of her daughter in Clinton and the remains brought to Red Oak for interment, where services were conducted by Rev. Pratt at the home of her son S. S. Rowser. Her body was laid to rest in Red Oak Cemetery.
