Fannie Matilda Rowser Eppard

Mrs. Fannie Matilda Eppard, age 83, former resident of Davenport for 20 years and recently returned to this city, died this morning at 6 o'clock at the home of her niece, Mrs. Fannie Rowser, 551 Homestead Avenue. Death terminated an extended illness.

She was born in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, 11 April 1843 and one year later came to Davenport with her parents, receiving her education in the Davenport schools. On February 24, 1864 she was married to William A. Eppard and they moved away shortly after.

In November 1925 she came again to Davenport. After living for some years in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, to make her home with her niece. Mr. Eppard preceded her in death in 1897 and she survived four children. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving besides her niece are the following grandchildren: Mrs. B. W. Janick, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cecil Eppard, Pasadena California, William Eppard and Mrs. John Ellefson, both of Becker, Minnesota. Vernon Eppard of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Mrs. Austin Johnson, Scottsville, Michigan. The remains were removed to the E. A. Horrigan & Sons Funeral home, pending further arrangements.
